#45 ITALY

Italy is one of the most traveled countries in the world, so I'll save my time and yours by not rambling on about the country's beautiful architecture and food because there are countless blogs and articles about that already. But, having sorted through hundreds of my favorite photos from various trips to Italy, here are my thoughts and recommendations:

1. Yes, the architecture everywhere really is stunning.

2. I'm obviously obsessed with Italian food, especially tortellini and seafood!

3. There's no shame in taking a break from pizza, pasta, and bread to have some good sushi!

4. Speaking of pizza, if you're in Naples, skip it altogether unless you like a mushy and soggy crust - yuck!

5. The Venice Biennale is fabulous.

6. Never say no to gelato -- even if you're full, you'll never regret it!

7. Italy is the perfect place to meet up with old friends after a long time apart, especially if they live to eat like I do :)

Enjoy!
