#53 EGYPT

On my first trip to Sub-Saharan Africa, I flew to/from Kenya on EgyptAir and managed to finagle a one-day layover to visit my friend Shaun in Cairo, where we walked the streets, had a nice lunch overlooking the Nile, and did some shopping in the Bazaar. Of course, this was just months after protests rocked the country, leading to a coup d'état, but I don't have much to say about that after such a short trip, except that I'd love to visit again and explore more!
