Somehow I ended up in Côte d'Ivoire for a week with my friend Julia from Kabul. We were super lazy but had a great time sunbathing by the surf, befriending beach dogs, eating lots of lobster, and exploring the beautiful coastline. We also picked up some curious African figurines, and Julia got a festive black Santa Claus statue from a beach vendor. Next time it might be nice to have a French speaker with us, but overall it was a great time spent with a great friend :)
