By 2011, I'd lived in
Thailand for five years and knew it was time to move on to a new adventure. I'd been to all my neighboring countries in Southeast Asia countless times and was eager to see someplace new before leaving the region. Thankfully, I'd amassed a good number of mileage points with some long-haul flights to
Peru for work, so when a deal came up on Thai Airways for flights from Bangkok to Kathmandu, I didn't hesitate one bit! I only had one week in the country so there was no trekking of Mt. Everest this time, but I did get to soak up some of the vibrant sights, smells, and tastes of Kathmandu and Bakhtapur.
