#112 MALTA

 

In 2025, after acing my final Croatian language exam, we took a quick trip to Malta on a RyanAir flight from Zagreb to kick off the summer season. And, after a long and dark European winter, we were ready for a beach holiday! 

From the airport, we headed straight to Sliema, a bustling area with numerous cafes, bars, restaurants, and lively city beaches. A few days later we headed south to Birżebbuġa on the south coast for a change of scenery. Overall, though, we settled into the mildly hedonistic vibe of the island and spent the remainder of our trip relaxing, sunbathing, and indulging in numerous rabbit dishes from the local cuisine. And there were a good number of Aperol spritzes to be had, too!
