#49 BELGIUM

One day, while bored in Kabul, I was searching for flights to Europe for my next vacation. I had already decided to go to France to visit friends before going to Kenya and Tanzania for a fantastic safari experience. But, all of a sudden, flights to Brussels started popping up with better routes and cheaper fares, so I decided that's where I'd go! And, as luck would have it, my friend Sheila, whom I hadn't seen for years since meeting in Thailand, was living in Leuven, so I got to catch up with her for a few days, drink a lot of beer, and eat a bunch of moles-frites :)

Then, in 2025, we went back for another visit, but this time to Bruges to explore beautiful architecture, soak up some Christmas spirit at the local Advent market, and eat a lot more mussels and chocolate!
